Generate Custom QR Codes

QR (Quick Response) codes are two-dimensional barcodes that can be scanned by smartphones, tablets, and dedicated QR readers to instantly access encoded information. They have become an essential tool for bridging the physical and digital worlds — used everywhere from restaurant menus and business cards to marketing materials, event tickets, and product packaging.

Customization Options

• Module size — Controls the size of each individual square (module) in the QR code pattern. Larger values produce a bigger image that is easier to scan from a distance. For print materials like posters and flyers use 15-20. For digital use on screens or small labels 8-12 works well.
• Border (quiet zone) — The white margin around the QR code that helps scanners distinguish the pattern from surrounding visual content. The QR standard requires a minimum border of 4 modules. Increasing the border adds extra padding and can improve scan reliability on busy printed materials with nearby graphics or text.
• Color — Choose from four preset colors to match your brand or design. The QR code is rendered with a colored foreground on a white background. High contrast between the code and background is essential for reliable scanning — very light foreground colors or low-contrast combinations may reduce readability for some scanners.

Technical Notes

The generated QR codes use Medium (M) error correction which allows up to 15% of the code to be damaged or obscured while remaining scannable. This provides a good balance between data capacity and resilience. The QR version is automatically determined based on the length of your input text — shorter inputs produce smaller denser codes that are easier to scan. URLs with HTTPS protocols are recommended for web links since most modern QR scanners recognize and open them automatically. The output is a high-quality PNG image ready for use.
